Trio Serene consists of Katrín Birna Sigurðardóttir (cello), Aoi Tomioka (violin) and Albin Axelsson (piano).

They are all students of the Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus which is where they met.

The trio enjoys playing music in many different styles and has performed in venues such as at the Haydn Festival in Copenhagen and Musikhuset Aarhus.
